Mail for Jira and Confluence
Mail for Jira and Confluence
Mail for Jira and Mail for Confluence give every Jira issue and every Confluence page or blog post its own email address. Mail sent to that address is stored on the issue or page itself: attachments become normal Jira or Confluence attachments, and the message joins a per-item mail history you read in the Mailbox panel. In Jira, received mail is also searchable through JQL.
Your mail never lives anywhere you cannot see it: the permanent copy is content in your own Atlassian site, governed by your existing permissions, retention, and backups.
Start here
- Install Mail for Jira or Mail for Confluence from the Atlassian Marketplace.
- Open an issue (or page) and open the Mailbox panel.
- Copy the item’s email address from the panel.
- Send a message to that address and reload the panel.
The full walkthrough is in Getting started.
